    Thumbs up

I am so amazingly excited about this and the character of Dory was my favourite for so many reasons.. Ellen just nailed the performance, and it suited her comedy style so perfectly. I hope this sequel is equally astounding and amazing as the first. So very, very excited and optimistic! Don't dash my hopes, Pixar! <3

Default Preview at D23 Expo in Anaheim

    Movie News Guide - July 31, 2015

Ellen DeGeneres’ mantra of “just keep swimming” will finally be seeing its better days as her character as Dory in “Finding Nemo” will finally reach her destination on the big screen. The 3D animated movie “Finding Dory” will have its first sneak peek in the D23 Expo this August at Anaheim, California.
DeGeneres first voiced the titular character of the Pacific regal blue tang with a knack for poor memory in “Finding Nemo” back in 2003. The bulk of the sequel now takes place at a Marine Biology Institute with the storyline giving much emphasis on Dory’s backstory. The upcoming movie is said to be also greatly influenced by the 2013 documentary film “Blackfish” by Gabriela Cowperthwaite as cited by Ecorazzi.com.
The 57-year-old talk show host, according to the D23.com, late last year showed great pleasure as she told her fans that the much-awaited sequel to “Finding Nemo” is no longer in a distant future.
“I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time,” said DeGeneres. “But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”
Confirmed to return for the aquatic adventure with Dory are Marlin (Albert Brooks) the single-dad clownfish, Gil (Willem Dafoe) the sly Moorish idol, and Deb (Vicki Lewis) the slightly delusional four-striped damselfish. Joining the cast are newcomers Jenny (Diane Keaton) and Charlie (Eugene Levy), who are Dory’s parents and Bailey (Ty Burrell) a beluga whale. Actress Kaitlin Olson will voice Dory’s adopted sister, a killer whale. Actors Dominic West and Idris Elba are also cast but with unspecified roles. Andrew Stanton, who directed the original movie, will return as writer and director.
The D23 Expo is a yearly event spearheaded by Disney Entertainment. Disney Pixar’s “Finding Dory” is set for a June 17, 2016 release.

Just to say that I saw Finding Dory this afternoon and it was brilliant! Any of you thinking of going, I can highly recommend it, Ellen is brilliant (I'd still say that even if I wasn't biased lol!) And the rest of the cast are fantastic too!
